Mitzpe Ramon pt. 2

my weekend in Mitzpe Ramon was amazing.  we started (Friday 9:30 am) traveling from arad, to be’er sheva, to mitzpe ramon, to this bedouin hospitality site called the Be’erot Campsite.  We had no idea it was going to be a bedouin site, but it was nicer than we thought it’d be.  we hung out friday night, had some pasta for dinner, and prepared for our hike saturday hike.

Saturday we started the day at 7 am, but did not leave the camp until 8:45 am.  6 hour and 15 minute hike in the blistering hot desert.  Up the crater, back down the crater, then around in a big circle, following different parts of the israeli trail.  It was so hot there were areas that were just blackened rock.  We returned to arad that night at 10:45 pm.

It was totally worth it, even though we all got dehydrated and sunburned.  now i’m back in the apartment, well rested and still alittle sunburned.
