we call this the diving board. it is a massive structure built in 1968. i wouldn’t go further out.  the view is amazing, as is the air.  in the distance you can see the dead sea. it is easier to see in person.  the other side of the dead sea is jordan, also visible in person. to my left is the west bank.  at night you can see jordan all lit up, as well as surrounding cities. that’s the desert.
