We have spent 4 nights in arad so far.  The weather is suprising, I didn’t think it got this cold in the desert.  I rode my bike to pick up some pita from one of the two local bakeries in the town center.  Yesterday, I walked almost two miles with my friend Ori to this lookout point.  There is a massive sculpture built in ‘68 that sits at the top of a cliff right behind an abandoned hotel.  From that site you can see the Dead Sea, Jordan, and the West Bank.

Today I went hiking for a few hours in these canyons and mountains in the negev with my section.  Then, we went to the dead sea.  The lowest point on earth.  It was salty.
