that small dark area is the 2x2 mile city that I live in in the desert.  the city is actually alittle less than 6x6 miles, but the outskirts are all desert.  the west bank is a little over 7 miles away, and the dead sea about 10.  we live in the heart of the city, in a spacious apartment.  it does not feel the same as bat yam, and i really miss that place.
